The Fast & Furious franchise has given us a lot of great memories. From the famous "I live my life a quarter of a mile at a time" speech to Han's shocking death, the eight movies have provided hours of entertainment. Now fans have the chance to own a piece of automotive movie memorabilia from the film in the form of one of the cars featured in the series. The vintage 1963 C2 Corvette Grand Sport Duntov Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker) steal in Fast Five is heading to auction

Originally, only five of these Corvette's were ever made; two couples and three convertibles. These five cars are housed in private collections and worth millions. As there was a market for this classic car, Corvette has allowed various companies to create replicas, such as Mongoose Motorsports, a GM licensed manufacturer. So while it might not be made in Corvette's manufacturing plant, it's as close to the real thing as you can get, and for a hell of a lot less than one of the five original Duntov's.

What makes this vehicle up for auction so special is the fact it featured in Fast Five. You might remember at the beginning of the movie, Dom and Paul hijack a moving train and steal a bunch of cars. One of those is a 1963 C2 Corvette Grand Sport Duntov, which they then crash trying to escape.

Mongoose Motors build 12 of these Corvettes for Fast Five, with only three surviving. The one up for sale was used as the green-screen car, so it wasn't actually involved in any stunts. Due to this, it's in pristine condition. The car was loved so much by the crew that the transportation coordinator purchased the car for his own personal classic car collection before selling it to Volvo Cars.

The car itself is almost identical to the 1963 original. As the description about the car reads, "It features a full custom tubular chassis with C4 suspension, GM performance crate 350 with 380 HP and an automatic transmission. The only cosmetic difference is this car was given a set of 17″ PS Engineering wheels for an updated look."

The 1963 C2 Corvette Grand Sport Duntov will be auctioned by Volo Cars between April 14th and 21st and is sure to reach over six figures. Check out more pics of it below and get ready for Fast 9 later this year.
